Our Story
Phuljung Films was started by award-winning filmmaker Tenzin Phuljung to bring world-class cinematography to our community.
Tenzin noticed that many Tibetan weddings and documentaries have been filmed by people from outside our culture. These filmmakers might have good equipment, but they often don’t understand the deep meaning or the symbols behind our traditions. He created this studio to bridge that gap. We believe our heritage deserves more than just a video; it deserves to be understood.
Today, our premium team combines high-end filmmaking with a true “Tibetan Touch.” By focusing on the sacred symbols and small details that others miss, we ensure your most important moments are captured with total authenticity.
Our Vision
Our vision is to build the world’s leading Tibetan cinematic ecosystem, serving as both a premier production house and a vital historical archive. We view these films as a vital historical record of our life in exile. In 50 years, future generations will be able to use my work as a reference to understand how Tibetan marriage traditions evolved and stayed alive.
By 2030, we aim to be the global standard for Tibetan storytelling merging professional commercial excellence with a sacred commitment to cultural preservation.
